Last year, your favourite mathtastic mathciety ran a series of informal lectures for first and second years pre-exams: the idea was to bring you up to speed and give you an overview of topics to make your exams just a little better- Their success was, to be honest, mixed at best, but we want to change that.
This year they're coming back, bigger and better than ever, but we need your help to make 'em that way...
I'd just like to highlight that the Warwick Mathematics Society has passed a significant milestone in terms of members: 400.
When the WMS was known by that rather ugly M-word, numbers would just about limp over 200, now with all the diverse academic support, extra-curricular and social activities we've rocketed through 400.
I would encourage new members to feel free to post on the forums, even just to say hello, or ask for help, or to give it!
Like skiing or snowboarding? Don't miss this opportunity and join in, as the WMS goes to Milton Keynes to enjoy the inside ski slope.
Only about £30, and 50 minutes away by coach/minibus. Post on this thread to register interest and keep an eye out for updates.
The Warwick Mathematics Society will be selling revision guides for the following second year modules on Tuesday at 11am in the Street:
MA231 Vector Analysis
MA244 Analysis III
As usual, they're free for members of the society and £1 each for non-members.
