A new year

Hello Members!

If you have joined in the past week or so, welcome!

With the new academic year just around the corner, we thought that we'd let you know about all the great new things the society is doing this year, and all the great things we did last year that we're doing again.

If want to rejoin the society, you can already do so on the union's website or you can come along to the societies fair on Wednesday where we're going to have a stand in The Cooler.

So, what does The Warwick Mathematics Society have to offer you?

Revision Guides - as ever, revision guides will be free for members.

Socials - we're going to have a range of social events throughout the year, starting with: The Integrating Factor in week 3.

Discussion groups - continuing from last year, informal talks about interesting mathematics. Usefull if you want to find topics for second or third year essays. There will also be a number of special discussion groups throughout the year, given by external speakers.

Crash Courses - new for this year. If you (and a dozen of your mates) are having trouble understanding something mathematical, but can't find anyone to help, the maths society will put on an informal, seminar type help session for you, just ask on the website.

Learn LaTeX - still not learnt to use LaTeX but need to write a second year essay? Well come along to one of our LaTeX sessions and we'll show you how. A choice of classes for beginners and more advanced users.

We're running much more besides, and if you're membership expires in a few days, we'd love to have you back!
