This revision guide for MA231 Vector Analysis has been designed as an aid to revision, not a substitute for it. In contrast to previous revision guides, this one is full of theory, including a number of key derivations, and has very few examples. However, the point of Vector Analysis is not theory, it's practice, so the best way to revise is to use this revision guide as a quick reference and just keep trying example sheets and past exam questions.
Use at your own risk. No guarantee is made that this revision guide is complete, or that it will improve your exam performance. Use of this guide will increase entropy, contributing to the heat death of the universe. Contains no GM ingredients. Your mileage may vary. All your base are belong to us.
This revision guide was written by David McCormick, based upon lectures by Jochen Voss given in 2006-07. Previous editions were written by Matt Ireland (I think!), however, the guide has been totally rewritten. With thanks to Jonathan Elliott, Timothy Williams and Matthew Hutton for their helpful comments. Please email any corrections to d.s.mccormick@warwick.ac.uk.
