Help!
Has anyone on here been to this lecture, i missed it due to illness, what did i miss?
I know there is a test this Friday but that's all i know. |

I went to it and I have the summary sheet but I can't find it probably because I'm drunk. Basically do the workbooks, do the tests, week 2 the test is on paper and weeks 3-5 the test would be on computer but it seems like there might be too many people for that to happen. Trevor Hawkes says there were more of us than he had hoped and encouraged us to drop the module. He also expressed amazement at the amount of first years doing it, as did the second years. Oh well, its too late to drop it now.
There is no test on the last workbook but of course it is examinable. Also if you are in year two pick group theory next year (his words not mine) but you aren't so I wouldn't worry about it.
Buy the workbooks from the officey place that sells that sort of thing, 50p.
I'm sure I'm forgetting something important, but right now I see nothing as more important than eating manx oak smoked cheddar. |

I can so explain this...
I came back from Liverpool match (lifetime supporter) in a pretty 'elated' mood, and went on to drink a bottle of wine while talking to old schoolfriends on MSN. I got kinda homesick and went browsing. When I seen Orry post about our fine Manx cheeses, I went into a spam attack mode and unleashed my emo emotions on this fine (cheese (lol)) board.

I know, but my point was that it was more "Maths Banter" as it wasn't directly linked to maths (since it was a sort of organizational thing :p) and as I see it, the "Maths" threads are usually about actual maths (the distinction is quite pointless, I know, but I was just explaining my logic :p). |
