Yes i agree... what is Mr Cosmin's problem? Who is he? he seems very unlikeable... Why is there an old man on this site as well? isn't the site for Warwick students? Is he a mature student? All of his answers are rude and unkind... fahdaldapy, it may be worth talking to the exec and seeing if he can be removed... you could ask the president, or the webmaster, or the talks coordinator... Okay, this post is mainly intended for anyone who doesn't usually get involved in the forums and who may casually reading this thread, not without a little disgust. I'd like to apologise for the mind games that are going on here. The reason I'm apologising for this is that, if my suspicions are correct, the motivations behind it stem from a ill-thought-through comment that I made about this time last week.

I don't intend to go into this now, as I need a good night's sleep before tomorrow's exam. Neither do I intend to get involved in any prattle on the forums.

It doesn't really have anything to do with that Colin, don't worry. In case anyone else is wondering, Fahd is real - he's apparently a student in "networking" who doesn't like maths and thinks he can get away with us doing his homework (Sam could probably give you more details). Note that the second account that looks like fahd differs in fact by two letters (and that's me). It's also pretty easy to guess who "the pope" is. None of the posts after the "if is that just joke it is ok" are serious... (except for Colin's and Jamie's, obviously)

Can i suggest that you speak to the exec again... I will once again direct you towards the talks coordinator, he is known to take this sort of issue very seriously, and is reliable (not that the president isn't). Whatsmore, he doesn't have any important exams, and although he's not very good at maths, does not need to worry about getting the required 60% in the core modules to pass onto the 4 year degree... He is most certainly the best person to talk to regarding this issue.

Right Cosmin, you are disgusting. I can only tell the difference between the account of the guy who started this thread and your fake account because of the difference in post count and the join dates (and how did you make it look as though your fake account is five months old)? You are directing people to the talks coordinator as well, when they probably have no way of knowing that that's you. This isn't funny. If I had exec powers I'd be sorting this out now. As it is, I expect everyone who is on the exec to bring a halt to this at once. It stops now. I can't believe one of my own friends is doing this.

Bold claims, Mr. Colin. While I did admit I was the fake "fahd" account, I am not thepope (and what's more it's extremely easy to check that and find out who it is) or anyone else (except for my own real account obviously). I didn't direct him to the talks coordinator at all. The reason (beside the fact that it is funny and that it fills my procrastination quota) is that I am annoyed by the fact that fahd thinks it's so easy to get away with us doing his homework for him (he talked to Sam on msn and went as far as to ask him for the answers to his homework on a piece of paper). He's not some sort of enthusiastic kid who's just discovering maths (as it may have seemed) but an actual student (and not at Warwick) who said he hates maths but needs to do his maths module homework (and thinks he's found an easy way of doing it). That's a good enough reason for me to have a little trolling fun on his behalf. I do agree that the whole thing went a bit too far but it's a huge leap to assume that I was the only person involved (it's not exactly my idea of fun to create 10 accounts and make them talk to each other on the forums). All in all, even if you had been right, I really don't think it warranted such a blunt and tactless response.

It appears that our society has quite a varied exceptence level of humour... I think that perhaps the new exec should scrap all DGs/revision guides/maths cafe's... and replace them with humour lessons: for those with an excess of sick/perverse/twisted humour we could arrange lessons in toning down ones jokes, and for those lacking humour... well perhaps they should just go to therapy.

Would the maths department fund us? Perhaps Greg can find out for us... I'll email him tomorrow.

Well, my fake account isn't new, I just changed the name of my old one (I'm too lazy to create a new one), which is why it's a few months old (also, the reason it has the same name as fahd is that the a in "al" is a cyrillic a).
