I am a retired engineer and would like to refresh my knowledge of statistics. Can you tell me how the z-score table was derived. I am not interested in repeating this monumental task great mathemeticians have done but it would be awfully satsifying for me to know the basic process. I know I need to start with the frequency function with z as the variable but I don't know how to obtain the integral of e^(-.5(z Squared))dz. Thanks very much in advance.
