I thought I might try and kick off a thread about what people are planning to do after they graduate, I have a few ideas but nothing concrete. I don't think I'll end up using maths specifically, although I will be using the skills I've learnt as a mathematician of course.

What are you going to do? And does it involve maths?

I'll hopefully do a PhD (though probably not in Warwick, staying in one place too long is a bit boring) and go on to do research in number theory or something similar. In any case, I'd hate to do a job that didn't use interesting maths to a significant extent!

I think most of us here could've written that for you :p Personally I just intend to avoid the real world for as long as possible. It's a grimy place

Argh! I was hoping that some final years would post, rather than speculative lessers.

How many finals are there on the forums? How many people even? Bit hopeful methinks.

Hoping to proceed to postgrad, but I suck in all exams, so I fear this may not be possible. I could always to a PGCE and go teach, or hit some other part of the education sector. If I am lucky enough to do a PhD, It wouldn't be here since I am really getting in to all this formal logic lark.

Tom, Jamie, Kat and I can't be the only ones graduating? Anyone doing anything wild/wacky/crazy or is everyone off up Deloitte's bottom?

Umm, I haven't replied yet :P PhD in Complexity Science for me (touch wood) - yes, I have turned into a dirty, dirty applied mathematician :P Sorry this is brief, but must be quick, off to the pub...

Jamie
