The Pigeonhole Principle

Tuesday 1st November, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm - MS04

First-years! Are you tired of all these precise definitions containing letters you've never heard of before? Or maybe tedious calculations is not what you want to do in your spare time? No matter what your answers to the above questions are, come along to the First-year-special talk organized by WMS (FYI the right answers are 'No' and 'No, it's not' in that order). The topic will be "The Pigeonhole Principle".

If you've ever wondered whether there are two people with the same number of hairs on their head living in Coventry, you will find the answer to that and many other fundametal questions TONIGHT, 19:00 (that's 7 PM) in MS.04*.

*Does not contain nuts.

Note that while this topic is suitable for first years it should be interesting for anyone in the maths department.
